In tabletop rules, monks have special weapons that they can use and still retain their unarmed number of attacks but the damage dice and bonuses are the weapon. While we don't include all of the weapon types to implement this fully and there isn't an overly useful selection of weapons of the appropriate types to choose from actually in the game, I still feel that this would be a nice change to allow monks viable options against [s]resist or immune blunt[/s] mobs that are resist or immune to the monk's unarmed damage type.
Qualifying Monk Weapons (the weapon types already in the game):
bostick
cestus*
nunchaku
sai
shuriken
*Why is this weapon not on the monk's weapon list to learn?
This change would give monks a little more flexibility and flare, trading their unarmed damage for different damage types and/or weapon stats while retaining their number of attacks.
